Last weekend, the Mugello circuit located in the north of Florence hosted the fourth of seven Endurance Proto races of the 2019 Ultimate Cup Series season.

After having climbed on the podiums of Estoril and Dijon, Team Virage arrived in Italy with three LMP3 and 8 drivers ready to fight for the top of the podium despite particularly tough weather conditions with temperatures reaching more than 40° throughout the weekend.

On Thursday, during the free practice day, the car #93 of Falchero/Kaprzyk/Malavasi scored the 4th fastest laptime, while the #94 of Wagg/Valenza/Ghorpade finished 9th and the #95 of Cimadomo/Costa 11º.

The #94 suffered a massive accident during the second free practice session, fortunately without physical consequences for the driver, which forced the technical staff to change the chassis throughout the night in order to be ready for qualifying which would take place on Friday.

In the qualifying session, the team got some positive results after the enormous effort made in the previous night. The Ligier #93 driven by Falchero/Kaprzyk/Malavasi qualified in the 3rd row in 6th position, while the #94 of Valenza/Wagg/Ghorpade was 8thfastest and the #95 of Cimadomo/Costa ended up in the 12º position.

On Saturday started the 4 hours of Endurance Proto in Mugello with our three Ligier JSP3. After having to start from the pit lane, the #94 of Valenza/Wagg/Gorpade crossed the finish line in a magnificent 5th position. The #93 of Falchero/Kaprzyk/Malavasi finished P12 after having suffered a gearbox issue in the last stages of the race while fighting for the top 5. The #95 of Cimadomo/Costa could not compete for the podium in the Gentleman category due to technical problems.
