Thanks to another podium in the last round of the year at Le Castellet (France), Team Virage claimed both Teams and Drivers titles in Ultimate Cup Series.

The #88 Ligier JSP320 driven by Miguel Cristovao and Julian Wagg welcomed a new driver for that last round: Frenchman Julien Falchero. Alongside them, the #77 returned to competition with Philippe Cimadomo and Lionel Amrouche. And for the first time this year, Team Virage entered a 3rd Ligier JSP320 with #10 driven by Julien Gerbi and Petru Florescu, the successful single-seater Romanian driver making his maiden endurance race.

Coming into the weekend with a comfortable lead in the standings, the #88 managed to secure the title without having to take unconsidered risks. Yet, they kept fighting for victory during the race and came home in 2nd place, just ahead of sister car #10 which scored a successful podium in their first Ultimate Cup Series race.

Beside the Teams’ and overall Drivers’ titles claimed, Team Virage is also proud to have helped Philippe Cimadomo secure the Gentlemen drivers’ title with the 77 car.
